Help North Atlantic Right Whales

Why They Need Us

With fewer than 400 left, the North Atlantic right whale is one of the most endangered whales on Earth.  None die of old age.  They face life-threatening risks every day from ship strikes and entanglement in commercial fishing gear, threats we have the power to reduce.  Their survival is tied to the health of the ocean itself, and their loss would echo across entire marine ecosystems.

How You Can Help

  • Speak Up – Urge lawmakers to strengthen ship speed limits and support whale-safe fishing gear.  Reach your elected officials through USA.gov for a directory of federal, state, and local officials.

  • Share – Spread the word by sharing our campaign.

  • Stay Connected – Sign up for updates and become part of a growing community working for right whales' survival.

  • Support our outreach, education, and advocacy efforts to protect right whales.

Together, We Can Make a Difference

The recovery of Southern right whales shows what is possible.  With safe places to feed and calve, North Atlantic right whales can thrive too. Your support helps turn awareness into action, and gives these gentle giants a fighting chance at survival.
